The AQ can be operated in 3-wire as well as 4-wire technology in such a way that it only triggers when the call has been accepted by the control unit. The AQ is also triggered when an already acknowledged command transmitter is actuated (see EN 81-70 (D) table 4). The volume can be adjusted via potentiometer.

Using the AQ reduces the voltage with which the control is called. With an input current of 10 mA with the AQ 37 by 1.7 V. If this causes problems, use the AQ 37 FST. Here, the call voltage is reduced by typ. 1.4 V at an input current of 10 mA.

Connection diagrams

3-wire technology, standard compliant, common anode

The acknowledgement signal of the control unit must not exceed 1 V. The call signal is max. 1.7 V (1.4 V with AQ FST) with an input current of 10 mA.

3-wire technology, standard compliant, common cathode

The acknowledgement signal of the control unit must not be more than 1 V below the supply voltage. The call signal is max. 1.7 V (1.4 V for AQ FST) below the supply voltage at an input current of 10 mA.

4-wire technology, standard compliant, common anode

In the following schemes, only the acoustic acknowledgement of the command (not the command acceptance) is possible. The AQ therefore sounds with every actuation, even if the command is not acknowledged. The call lines of the pushbuttons are connected in parallel with the acoustic acknowledgement (AQ) via diodes (decoupling circuit or EP 37).
