On the outside of the handset, a display an LED and a keypad are placed. The loudspeaker and the microphone are set on the inside.

The handset HA 32 can call all participants within the system as well as accept incoming calls and emergency calls. One handset HA 32 is configured as exchange and takes over internal exchange functions like e. g. check-calling all components and control over establishment and termination of Connections.
