Foot operated buttons and fixtures

In applications where the hands and arms are regularly used for carrying, such as in shopping centres or in factories or storage facilities, a foot button makes elevator operation much easier. In addition, the foot button also offers a more hygienic alternative to the elevator call or floor selection. Since the foot button is pressed by considerably greater forces than the conventional hand operation, SCHAEFER only uses class 3+ buttons for this purpose. Buttons of SCHAEFER's own class 3+ are tested with, among other things, twice the impact force as required in the highest vandalism protection class (EN 81-71 class 2).
